Forget the Little Blue Pill: ViaSure® Improves Erectile Dysfunction Without Drugs

Next time you’re out with a group of your male friends, look around and realize that more than half of them likely have dealt with erectile dysfunction (ED) at some point in their lives. And, if your group of friends skews older, that percentage goes up considerably.

Our point here is that ED is incredibly common — researchers predict that the condition will affect 322 million men around the world by 2025.

While the little blue pill and its counterparts have answered the call for almost three decades, they offer only a temporary reprieve from ED — and they aren’t without some degree of hassle and potential side effects.

There is a better way: ViaSure™ by Cynosure®. At Advanced Urology, our team prides itself on providing patients with the latest science-based treatments for men’s health issues, including erectile dysfunction.

Here, we explore why ViaSure rises head and shoulders above the pharmacologic approach for treating vascular-related ED.

The anatomy of an erection

To appreciate why ViaSure is so effective at remedying ED, it’s helpful to review all that goes into an erection.

This process starts with a thought or sensation that triggers arousal. Your brain then sends signals to your penis that cause the muscles surrounding your corpora cavernosa (a sponge-like material in your penis) to relax and allow blood to flow in. Once your blood floods the tissues, valves hold the blood in place, allowing you to maintain your erection.

Once you climax or the arousal ends, the valves open, your muscles tense, and blood flows back out of your penis.

The culprit behind most cases of ED

There are many different roads to ED,  but, far and away the most prevalent is a lack of sufficient blood flow to the penis. Over time, your blood vessels can develop plaques that restrict blood flow (a condition called atherosclerosis).

So, without adequate blood flow into your penis, the chain of events we described earlier can’t take place.

The ViaSure difference

The medications that are prescribed for vascular-related ED increase blood flow to your penis, but they come with some downsides. First, the medications can lead to side effects, such as:

The list goes on and even includes changes in your vision, such as seeing a blue tint to everything.

Another disadvantage of medications is that there’s a delay of 30-45 minutes (or more) before they kick in and give you an erection, which is hardly suitable for spontaneity.

Conversely, with ViaSure, there are no side effects and no delay. Instead, ViaSure is a solution in which we deliver ultrasound energy into your penis during a series of 15-minute treatments to improve blood flow and restore smooth muscle cells.

The ultrasound passes harmlessly through the surface of your skin and addresses the two main issues with vascular- and age-related ED — vasculature and weak muscles.

After your ViaSure treatments, you can enjoy a healthy and active sex life again, without the side effects and hassle of medications. And, should your ED return, you can come back for a follow-up round of ViaSure treatments.
